We are pleased to announce that we will be presenting a poster our evaluation of the YMCA Diabetes Control Program at the 2017 American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions in San Diego, California (June 9 – 13)!

Our abstract entitled “Evaluating a Community-Based Diabetes Self-Management Program: Lessons Learned from an Academic–Community Research Partnership” will be displayed in the Diabetes Education section of the poster session.

The American Diabetes Association Scientific Meeting is the world’s largest and most prominent meetings on diabetes. It is attended by over 13,000 diabetes experts, physicians, nurses, researchers, and public health practitioners from around the world. Our poster will be one of 3,000 presentations at the meeting.

Attending this meeting will give our team an opportunity to engage with leaders in the field and other community-engaged research groups. We are excited to share our work, and to learn from others as we work to improve diabetes prevention and control in our community.
