Research Interests/Current Projects:
My main interest is in the epidemiology of schizophrenia, both in terms of factors which may contribute to the development of the disease, and also in terms of factors that may lead to improved outcomes for existing schizophrenia patients. I am developing a strong interest in the genetics of mental illness as well.
What brought you to GREMAP and/or Public Health:
I was excited to work with Dr. Mezuk, who is an amazing researcher and mentor. I also like the collaborative atmosphere of GREMAP, which opens doors for all kinds of interesting investigations.
Hobbies or an interesting factoid:
In my spare time I like to play guitar and violin, read, hang out with friends, and watch entirely too much science fiction. I can play the Doctor Who theme song on violin, and desperately want an electric violin and a looper pedal so I can play a more elaborate version.
