Research Interests

I am service-oriented and passionate about public health interdisciplinary research, community work, and social justice matters. My research and professional interests include health administration, emergency preparedness, global health, health policy, and the social determinants of health, among others. As someone from Puerto Rico (a U.S. territory), de-colonial environmental and climate justice are very important to me and drive my desire to work toward a better future.

What brought me to GREMAP?

I am collaborating on projects within this research group (ATLAS & DMH). My main interest is to continue training in mixed methods research and explore professional development opportunities. I also want to broaden my scope of research and continue learning about the intersections between mental and physical health.

What do I like to do outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, being in nature, reading, and spending time with family and friends (including my two cats). I collaborate with community-based organizations in Puerto Rico, as I consider it an essential component of my public health practice.
