Research Interests
My research interests lie at the intersection of mental and physical health. My research focuses on better understanding how chronic stress (e.g., racism and perceived discrimination) impacts the onset and management of Type 2 diabetes in Black adults.
What brought you to GREMAP?
Being a part of a research team that examines psychosocial stressors and its impact on chronic conditions, diabetes in particular, was really appealing. The ability to collaborate with this team and contribute to meaningful changes in the quality of life for impacted individuals was equally appealing.
What do you like to do outside of work/school?
I like to travel, hike, and watch sports.
