The Michigan Integrative Well-Being and Inequality (MIWI) Training Program is an interdisciplinary methods training program that supports participating scholars in investigating the intersection of physical and mental health in their respective fields. The MIWI training program is funded by a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (R25-MH136652) is led by Dr. Mezuk. The program begins with a 3-day summer institute and is followed by ongoing work with the mentorship team. Overall, the MIWI program focuses efforts on the different methodological approaches needed to do this work while continually emphasizing how these topics relate to health disparities.
