Substance abuse and mental health.
What brought you to VCU and/or Public Health:
Lauren recently graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Public Health, and she knew she wanted to continue in that field. Lauren chose VCU because of their connection with their medical school and because of the variety of opportunities to gain public health experience in Richmond through practicum and internship work (such as the Virginia Department of Health and Richmond Behavioral Health Authority). The flexibility of this program has allowed her to explore new public health interests as well as research opportunities.
Hobbies or an interesting factoid:
Lauren enjoys photography.
